Kaka: 'Steven Gerrard better than Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes'

Former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Kaka rates Steven Gerrard as a better player than both Paul Scholes and Frank Lampard.

Former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Kaka rates Steven Gerrard as a better player than both Paul Scholes and Frank Lampard.

Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes were three of the best English midfielders of their generation and all started for the national team during Euro 2004.

Kaka told Sport Bible: "Because we had this challenge between ourselves in 2005 and 2007, I really admire him.

"Of course, Lampard was pretty amazing, Scholes the classic. But I'll have Gerrard."

Gerrard famously inspired his Liverpool side to a dramatic Champions League final comeback from 3-0 down in 2005, with the Reds winning on penalties after the match ended 3-3.

Milan had their revenge two years later, though, when the same side met in the 2007 final, with AC winning 2-1 on that occasion.
