Newcastle United look to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart?

Newcastle United are reportedly keen to secure a deal to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, who is currently on loan at West Ham United.

Newcastle United have reportedly thrown open the possibility of securing the January signing of goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The Manchester City stopper is currently tied down to a loan deal at West Ham United for the rest of the season, but the England international has recently lost his place to Adrian.

Hart is keen to gain regular first-team football in order to keep his place in Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad, and it appears that Newcastle are prepared to give the 30-year-old his wish.

However, according to The Mirror, an agreement would need to be reached with both Man City and West Ham due to the terms of Hart's spell at the London Stadium.

Newcastle would likely have to match the wages being paid by West Ham, while the Hammers would need to find a replacement for Hart.

Rob Elliot has played in all but six of Newcastle's top-flight fixtures this season, with Karl Darlow deputising for the other half-a-dozen games.
