Manchester City are reportedly interested in a £30m bid for Everton defender Mason Holgate as they look to improve their backline this summer.
The 23-year-old has played an important role under new Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti and has started 17 Premier League matches so far this season.
According to the Daily Mirror, City want two centre-backs this summer and Holgate is one of the players under consideration.
The report adds that the Toffees are keen on offering him a new deal this summer, with his current contract set to run out two years from now.
City lost Vincent Kompany in the summer, and have seen both Aymeric Laporte and John Stones spend time on the sideline this season due to injury.
Stones could reportedly be used as a makeweight for any deal, with the England international joining City from Everton in 2016.
