Manchester City contemplating move for Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph?

Manchester City are looking at midfielder Fabian Delph as they try to adhere to the Premier League's homegrown quota for next season.

Manchester City are reportedly looking at Fabian Delph as Manuel Pellegrini tries to fulfil the league's English quota.

City need to replace James Milner with another Englishman as the Premier League requires teams to register a certain number of homegrown players.

Delph was one of Aston Villa's form players last season, earning a call-up into Roy Hodgson's recent England squads and prompting Man City to take notice, according to the Daily Mail.

Delph, 25, struggled to impose himself at Villa Park after a £3m move from Leeds United in 2012, but his form has drastically improved this season.

The Bradford-born midfielder signed a new four-year contract in February and has been capped six times under Hodgson.
