Manchester City prepare to resume contract discussions with Raheem Sterling, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly preparing to resume contract discussions with Raheem Sterling.

The England international has entered the final 18 months of his deal at the Etihad Stadium, and talks were allegedly put on hold last year due to Sterling's struggles to secure a regular spot in Pep Guardiola's first XI.

The 27-year-old has been a key player for the English champions in recent weeks, though, and is enjoying a productive campaign, scoring nine times and registering three assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.

According to ESPN, amid interest from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, Man City are keen to resume contract talks with the versatile attacker.

The report claims that the Citizens want to 'resolve the issue' before Sterling enters the final 12 months of his existing contract in June.

The Englishman has scored 123 goals and registered 89 assists in 319 appearances for Man City since making the move from Liverpool in July 2015.
