Manchester City will reportedly be unable to open contract talks with Leroy Sane until April after the Germany international switched agents.
Sane has been on the sidelines since August with a knee injury but is believed to be on course to return to action before the end of February.
There remains huge uncertainty surrounding the attacker's future at the Etihad Stadium, though, with Bayern Munich continuing to be linked with a move.
Sane's deal with Pep Guardiola's side will expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, but according to The Telegraph, City will be unable to re-open contract talks until April.
The report claims that a three-month notice clause in the deal with his previous agency means that his new representatives will be unable to act on his behalf until April.
The 24-year-old has scored 39 goals and registered 45 assists in 134 appearances for City since arriving from Schalke 04 in the summer of 2016.
