Manchester City will reportedly see any offer that they make for Will Hughes turned down by Derby County.

Championship side Derby County will reportedly refuse any offer that Manchester City make for Will Hughes during this month's transfer window.

The Premier League champions are believed to be admirers of the 17-year-old, who has been tipped to become a senior England international future.

City's assistant manager David Platt is thought to have watched the midfielder in action last weekend, while scouts were said to be at yesterday's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

However, should an offer materialise, the Rams will immediately reject it, according to The People.

The report has claimed that City would be willing to part with up to £10m to secure the youngster's services.
