Agent: 'Mario Balotelli too expensive for Italian clubs'

Mario Balotelli's agent claims that no Italian clubs could afford to sign the Manchester City striker.

The agent of Mario Balotelli has insisted that the Manchester City striker is too expensive for clubs in Italy.

The 21-year-old has long been linked with a return to his homeland, with the likes of AC Milan and Napoli both credited with an interest.

However, Mino Raiola has revealed that the attacker would be too pricey for teams in Serie A.

"Mario Balotelli will not return to play in Italy," he told Sportmediaset. "City consider Mario unsellable and Mario has no intention of returning to Serie A until Italian football improves its current situation.

"Mario Balotelli cannot return to Italy, because of the economic situation of Italian football. The top players are not coming to Italy right now.

"In football, nothing is impossible but Mario has not asked me about it and has no intention of returning anyway."

Balotelli joined City from Inter Milan in 2010.
