Manchester City are likely to be keeping a close eye on Pablo Zabaleta after the full-back limped off the field while playing for Argentina last night.

The 29-year-old left the pitch in the second half of the clash against Germany following a challenge from Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.

It is yet to be confirmed whether Zabaleta has suffered a significant injury or was just removed from the pitch as a precaution.

Argentina secured a 4-2 victory over the Germans, with City's Sergio Aguero and new Manchester United star Angel di Maria both getting on the scoresheet.
