Carlos Tevez reveals his confidence ahead of the new season and hopes to score more goals like he managed against Chelsea.

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has said that he is "feeling renewed" ahead of the new season and is ready to perform at the Etihad.

Tevez scored a second for City in their 3-2 Community Shield win against Chelsea and Tevez said that the goal is reflective of his confidence.

"I'm returning feeling renewed," Sky Sports News quotes Tevez as saying. "I'm really up for having a great season. I'm better now and only thinking about playing football.

"I feel useful and valued and that is fundamental for me. It's been a long time since I've scored a goal like that, like the ones I used to score when I was at Boca, and this speaks of the confidence I have."

Tevez has scored 58 goals in all competitions for City.
