Pep Guardiola has reportedly promised to become Manchester City manager when his Bayern Munich contract expires at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Last season's Premier League champions are thought to be prepared to part company with Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the current season after a campaign without a trophy.
According to Italian site Di Marzio, the Spaniard has agreed to take up a role with City from 2016 after completing the final year of his current deal with the German champions.
Carlo Ancelotti and Rafael Benitez have also been linked with the Man City job.
