Manuel Pellegrini: 'Bayern Munich tie will not distract us from Aston Villa'

Manuel Pellegrini insists that his players are fully focused on their match against Aston Villa, despite playing Bayern Munich a few days later.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his team are fully focused on their Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

The North-West outfit could be accused of keeping one eye on their Champions League group match against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, but the Chilean boss says that it not the case.

"I am sure nobody is thinking about Bayern Munich," Pellegrini said in a news conference. "We are all thinking about Aston Villa. We know it is a strong team playing at home. We need to play a very good game if we want to win and we need to win away now."

City are currently third in the league table following three wins, one draw and one defeat.
