Samir Nasri has paid tribute to Carlos Tevez after the Argentine made a match-winning contribution in his first Manchester City appearance since September.
With his team trailing at home to Chelsea in the 66th minute, Tevez came off the bench and inspired a turnaround, setting up Nasri for the winning goal in the 2-1 win.
"I am really happy for him," Nasri told Sky Sports News.
"He has showed great spirit and today showed he can be really important until the end of the season.
"It's good that it was him who gave the assist."
The win has kept Roberto Mancini's side just three points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United.
