Manchester City have beaten West Ham United 2-0 to clinch the Premier League title at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.

The Sky Blues went into their end-of-season clash knowing that a point would prove sufficient in pipping rivals Liverpool to the crown.

Goals from Samir Nasri and Vincent Kompany rendered the Reds' victory over Newcastle United as irrelevant and sealed City's second title in three years in the process.

It is manager Manuel Pellegrini's second trophy since joining the club last summer, having already guided the Citizens to Capital One Cup glory over Sunderland back in February.
