Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry has insisted that the club will improve defensively after failing to keep a clean sheet this season.
The Premier League champions excelled in defence last season but they have already conceded six goals in four league matches this term and Barry has called on the club to improve their defensive record.
Barry said: "It has not been an ideal start to the season.
"We finished last season with a great defensive record. This time, we are scoring a lot of goals but conceding at the same time.
"I am sure as the season goes on it is something we can work on."
Manchester City play Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
