Manchester City's star striker Sergio Aguero has been handed the Premier League's Player of the Month award for January.
The Argentine scored five goals to help his team claim an unbeaten four-match run and move to second in the league table.
Aguero found the net in a 2-1 triumph over Watford at Vicarage Road at the beginning of the year.
He later scored a brace in a comprehensive 4-0 win over Crystal Palace and also contributed with two goals in his side's 2-2 away draw against West Ham United on January 23.
Aguero was selected as winner from a shortlist featuring Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli, Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino, Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe and Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
This award has been won by Aguero three times.
