Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League fixture with Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Manchester City head into their fixture with Newcastle United on Wednesday night on the back of losing their ninth Premier League game of the season.

Three days after thrashing champions Liverpool, Pep Guardiola watched on as his side succumbed by a narrow scoreline at Southampton on Sunday evening.

While the result is unlikely to have any bearing on City's eventual finishing position, it represents more cause for concern for the Spaniard after a below-par campaign.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of welcoming the Magpies to the Etihad Stadium.

After sustaining a knee injury against Burnley towards the end of last month, Aguero has been ruled out for the rest of the domestic season. However, the Argentine is aiming to return in time for the resumption of the Champions League at the beginning of August.

City have no suspension concerns for this fixture.
