Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has insisted that he is ready to shoulder the responsibility of being the team's main striker in the absence of the suspended Sergio Aguero.
Aguero will miss the next four matches following his red card against Chelsea at the weekend, ruling him out of action until December 31.
Iheanacho started and scored in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Celtic this evening, and the youngster is confident that he can step up to the plate.
"They are a good side with quality players and we are pleased to get a draw. It wasn't the result we wanted but we are pleased," he told reporters.
"We responded well to going behind and I am pleased to score. I have the responsibility now to be the striker in the team and replace Sergio for four games."
Iheanacho has now scored 13 goals in 18 starts for Man City.
