Roberto Firmino is reportedly set to move to Spanish giants Barcelona when his contract at Liverpool expires at the end of the season.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino has reportedly agreed to join Barcelona when his contract expires at the club this summer.

Despite the wishes of manager Jurgen Klopp to keep the Brazilian, Firmino has opted to leave in search of a new challenge.

After joining from Hoffenheim in 2015, Firmino has won every domestic honour with the club, as well as the Champions League and Club World Cup - where he scored the winning goal.

The Daily Mail claim that a deal has been agreed for Firmino to join Barcelona as a free agent in the summer, ending his eight-year stay at Anfield.

Firmino had been linked with a move to Inter Milan upon the expiry of his contract, but a move to Spain looks to be his preferred choice.

Even though he is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, Klopp believes Firmino will return before the end of the season to receive an emotional farewell from the Anfield crowd.
