Southampton have reportedly joined the race to sign Birmingham City attacker Demarai Gray in the New Year.
The Saints are the latest in a long list of Premier League sides to have been linked with the 19-year-old, who has also been tipped with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth and Leicester City in the past.
However, according to Bleacher Report, Liverpool still have first refusal on the player as part of a deal that helped bring Jordon Ibe to St Andrew's on loan two seasons ago.
That means any bid accepted by Birmingham for Gray, who is thought to be valued in the region of £4m, can be matched by Jurgen Klopp's Reds.
England Under-20s international Gray is rumoured to have turned down an approach from Leicester during the summer, shortly before penning a new three-year deal at his current club.
