Liverpool are allegedly scouting two Premier League strikers ahead of potentially making an approach for either or both of them in 2025.

Liverpool have allegedly identified two Premier League strikers as potential transfer targets.

The Merseyside giants have enjoyed a tremendous start to life under Arne Slot to sit at the top of the Premier League table after 10 matches.

On Saturday afternoon, Liverpool came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield, making it 19 goals from those aforementioned games.

However, despite possessing a more-than-respectable attacking record, Slot's side have netted fewer than Manchester City and have doubts over some of their contingent in the final third.

Most notably, Mohamed Salah has less than eight months remaining on his contract and will be in a position to hold discussions with foreign clubs if he does not extend his terms by the turn of the year.

Two in-form frontmen on radar

According to Sky Sports News, Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo are both being considered as potential additions by the Liverpool recruitment board.

The duo have taken their respective games to new levels in 2024-25, particularly Mbeumo who is one of the leading marksmen in the Premier League.

Ahead of Brentford's meeting with Fulham on Monday night, the Cameroon international has contributed eight goals from his nine starts in the top flight.

Bournemouth attacker Semenyo has only netted four times, yet the 24-year-old proved his worth on Saturday afternoon as the Cherries recorded a famous 2-1 win over Manchester City.

Semenyo, a Ghana international, penned a new five-year contract earlier this season, but Bournemouth may consider bids if they prove too attractive to turn down or they achieve qualification for Europe for the first time.

Both players are said to have already been scouted by Liverpool as they gauge whether they wish to eventually make a formal bid in the future.

Are the places of other Liverpool forwards at risk?

Of Liverpool's 19 Premier League goals, 12 of them have been scored by either Salah or Luis Diaz, highlighting that the other options have not performed to their best.

Diogo Jota had the trust of Slot ahead of Darwin Nunez before his recent injury, yet the pair have just three goals and three assists between them.

The versatile Cody Gakpo's spot is safe, particularly having scored three times in the most recent double-header with Brighton.
