Liverpool try Carlos Tevez loan

Liverpool try to take Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez on loan until the end of the season.

Liverpool have reportedly attempted to take Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez on loan for the rest of the season.

The Anfield club recently contacted City to try to set up a swap deal with forward Andy Carroll. However, the Blues were quick to reject the idea.

Reds manager Kenny Dalglish now wants to bring Tevez to Merseyside on a temporary basis, according to The Mirror.

Any potential agreement would see Liverpool pay the Argentine's £200,000-per-week wages until May.
