Liverpool are reportedly lining up a swoop for Marseille playmaker Mathieu Valbuena.

The Reds have identified the France international as someone who can add some creativity to their ranks this month, as they continue their pursuit of a Champions League spot in the Premier League.

According to Mercato, Brendan Rodgers is looking to beat Monaco to Valbuena's signature this month.

OM are currently sixth in Ligue 1.
