Liverpool have reportedly been told to fork out a fee of £38m to prise teenage attacker Jeremy Doku away from Rennes this summer.
With the long-term futures of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane still uncertain, the Reds are thought to hold an interest in Doku, who featured twice for Belgium at Euro 2020.
In preparation for his possible departure, Les Rouge et Noir moved quickly to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana, who found the back of the net against Lens at the weekend while Doku watched on from the bench.
According to Voetbal24, Liverpool retain an interest in the attacker, but Bruno Genesio's side will not consider a sale unless they receive an offer of £38m.
Doku only signed for Rennes in October 2020 after bursting onto the scene with Anderlecht, and his deal with the Ligue 1 club does not expire until 2025.
The 19-year-old claimed two goals and three assists from 30 Ligue 1 appearances last term and started in Belgium's Euro 2020 quarter-final with Italy, winning the penalty for Romelu Lukaku to convert in a 2-1 defeat.
