Liverpool and Inter Milan are believed to be in talks over a prospective move to Italy for out-of-favour Reds striker Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool have reportedly entered talks with Inter Milan over a prospective move for out-of-favour striker Daniel Sturridge.

The 28-year-old has struggled for first-team action this season, with Roberto Firmino largely preferred up front by Jurgen Klopp.

As a result, several clubs are rumoured to have contacted Liverpool over the Englishman's availability and the Serie A giants are believed to be especially interested.

According to Sky Sports News, the Anfield hierarchy is currently in talks with the Nerazzurri over a move for Sturridge, who still has 18 months left on his contract with the Reds.

The report goes on to suggest that Inter want a loan deal with an option to buy, but are not willing to pay the €40m (£35m) Liverpool want to make the move permanent.

Sturridge has scored 63 goals in 133 appearances for the Reds since joining from Chelsea in 2013.
