Liverpool have reportedly revived their hopes of signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.
Rabiot's future has been the subject of intense speculation throughout the January window, with the player having rejected a new contract at the club and subsequently been banished to the reserves.
The Frenchman's current deal expires at the end of the season, and PSG are reportedly keen to offload him this month rather than losing him on a free in the summer.
Sport claims that PSG's desire to get him off their books has alerted Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to the prospect of pushing through a late deal on deadline day.
However, Rabiot himself is happy to wait until the end of the season, while both Liverpool and Spurs would also settle for a free transfer in the summer.
Barcelona have been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old too, although they are understood to have cooled their pursuit having secured the signature of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax.
