Liverpool 'eager to sign £7m Lucas Vazquez'

Liverpool reportedly want to sign £7m-rated midfielder Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid.

Liverpool are reportedly keen on securing a summer deal for Real Madrid's Lucas Vazquez.

The 23-year-old came through Los Blancos' youth set-up, but has spent this season on loan at Espanyol after failing to break into the first-team at the Bernabeu.

However, The Express claims that Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is eager to bring Vazquez to Anfield, and the player is also keen on a move to Merseyside.

It is thought that Real boss Carlo Ancelotti will demand £7m from Liverpool for the Spaniard, who could be set to replace Glen Johnson in the long-term.

Vazquez has scored two goals in 19 appearances for Espanyol this season.
