Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion.
With Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones all currently sidelined, Liverpool are looking to bring in a midfielder before the transfer window closes.
The likes of Marcos Llorente, Ruben Neves and Jude Bellingham have been linked with the club, while they are believed to have identified Caicedo as another potential option
According to The Sun, Liverpool are weighing up whether to make a £42m offer to sign the midfielder before September 1.
The 20-year-old joined the Seagulls in February 2021 before spending the first half of last season on loan at Beerschot.
However, since returning to the South coast, he has become an important part of Graham Potters's side with Brighton losing just one of their 12 Premier League games when Caicedo has started.

The Brighton boss has addressed rumours of a potential departure and the reported £42m valuation when speaking to reporters.
Potter said: "In football you never know, but we are quite calm and confident. You'd probably get his boots for that from the chairman — maybe! £100m? They can try.
"It doesn't surprise me that people are looking at him, because he is playing at a fantastic level. He is a top, top kid, a great person.
"But the position that the club are in is that we don't want to lose him and we don't think we will. He has all the attributes to play at the very, very highest level."
Caicedo, who has three years left on his contract, is expected to feature in Brighton's away encounter against Fulham on Tuesday.
