Liverpool have agreed a £142m deal - the biggest in British football history - with Barcelona for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho was the subject of multiple bids from Barcelona in the summer that were rejected by Liverpool, and the Brazilian has been a key figure for Jurgen Klopp's side in the first half of the current campaign.
The 25-year-old, however, will soon get his wish of playing for Ernesto Valverde's team after the Reds softened their stance on the the playmaker leaving Merseyside.
Coutinho, who was absent in the Liverpool group that travelled to Dubai for a break following their 2-1 defeat of Everton in the FA Cup on Friday, is expected to head to Spain on Saturday evening to finalise the terms of his move.
The deal is the third-biggest in football history, following Neymar's move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe's transfer from Monaco to the French capital club.
