Leicester City are reportedly hopeful that Caglar Soyuncu will sign a new contract at the club despite speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool and Barcelona.
Soyuncu's agent raised doubt over the 23-year-old's future this week when he admitted that a move to Barcelona was possible, and that Liverpool could also be in contention for his signature.
The centre-back still has three years remaining on his existing contract at the King Power Stadium, but the Foxes are keen to hand him improved terms to reflect his importance to the team.
The Turkey international has established himself as a key member of Brendan Rodgers's team since the world-record departure of Harry Maguire last summer, helping Leicester up to third in the Premier League table.
Soyuncu has missed only one top-flight game for Leicester this season and has made 35 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal.
Manchester City have also previously been credited with an interest in the defender.
