Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly moved ahead of Barcelona in the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer.
The Netherlands international had appeared to be on the verge of joining Barca before PSG moved to offer the 30-year-old a more lucrative deal.
Barca are allegedly considering placing a better contract on the table to the one previously offered in a bid to hold off competition from the French giants to sign the Dutchman.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Wijnaldum is now ready to accept the contract from Mauricio Pochettino's side, which would see his salary doubled.
Romano claims that unless Ronald Koeman's deal make an improved offer in the coming hours, the soon-to-be ex-Liverpool midfielder will join the Ligue 1 outfit on a free transfer.
Wijnaldum is currently with the Netherlands squad preparing for Euro 2020.
