Edgar Davids backs Liverpool's stance on Luis Suarez

Edgar Davids is in full agreement with Liverpool's stance regarding the future of striker Luis Suarez.

Edgar Davids has admitted that he completely agrees with Liverpool's stance regarding the future of striker Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan international has stated that he wanted to leave the club but the Reds have been unwilling to allow the 26-year-old to leave Anfield, despite receiving a bid in the region of £40m from Arsenal for his services.

When asked if he could understand Liverpool's approach, Davids is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "Of course he's a player that kept Liverpool going last season.

"But the season is not even 10 matches old so we don't know how this situation is going to affect the team or the player."

Liverpool have taken maximum points from their two Premier League games this season without the suspended Suarez.
