Fabio Borini: "It feels good to make the move"

Sunderland forward Fabio Borini admits that he is looking forward to getting started at the club after completing a deadline-day loan move from Liverpool.

Sunderland forward Fabio Borini is eyeing a regular spot in the starting lineup at the Stadium of Light after completing a loan move to the club on deadline day.

The Italian struggled to break into the first team at Liverpool since joining the Reds in a £10m deal from Roma leading to his season-long transfer to the Black Cats.

Borini told the club's official website: "It feels good to make the move. I was waiting to get my time to play and I needed to play.

"This is the right place to come. It is a great opportunity for me. Playing [regularly] is important for me to achieve my goals for the season."

Sunderland are 19th in the Premier League after three games this season, where they have taken just one point.
