Saturday's Premier League predictions including Liverpool vs. Burnley

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Premier League fixtures, including Liverpool vs. Burnley.

Liverpool vs. Burnley (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Having posted contrasting results on the opening weekend of the 2021-22 Premier League season, Liverpool and Burnley face off in gameweek two in front of the Anfield faithful on Saturday lunchtime.

Jurgen Klopp's side eased to a routine 3-0 victory at Norwich City last weekend, whereas the Clarets were sunk 2-1 by Brighton & Hove Albion on home soil.

We say: Liverpool 2-0 Burnley

Burnley certainly have fond memories of their recent trip to Anfield, with their victory on Merseyside marking the start of Liverpool's rut, but lightning is unlikely to strike twice as supporters gather en masse.

Klopp's side have their eyes firmly on the prize this term and will expect to march to a confidence-boosting win before the visit of Chelsea, which is exactly what they should do.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs. Newcastle (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two teams looking to bounce back from opening-weekend defeats will lock horns in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, as Aston Villa welcome Newcastle United to Villa Park.

Villa started their 2021-22 campaign with a 3-2 loss at newly-promoted Watford on Saturday, while Newcastle started their season with a 4-2 reverse at home to West Ham United.

We say: Aston Villa 2-1 Newcastle United

It is obviously very early in the season, but there is no downplaying the importance of this match, as both sides started 2021-22 with disappointing results last weekend. Newcastle have more than enough to find the back of the net on Saturday, but we fancy Villa to shade a close contest in front of their own supporters.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Crystal Palace vs. Brentford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fresh from a historic opening-day victory over Arsenal, Brentford's first-ever away game in the Premier League sees them travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

While Thomas Frank's side produced one of the most memorable nights in the club's history last Friday, Patrick Vieira's Palace slumped to a 3-0 loss at European champions Chelsea.

We say: Crystal Palace 1-1 Brentford

Brentford's jubilant supporters certainly played a key role in their side's success over Arsenal, and it will be interesting to see how the Bees respond on hostile away territory in the Premier League.

A Palace reshuffle should have Vieira's men in with a fighting chance of gleaning at least a point from this game, and the Eagles should put up more of a resistance than Arsenal did, so we expect a derby-day draw at Selhurst Park.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Leeds vs. Everton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Leeds United will be looking to recover from last weekend's 5-1 defeat to Manchester United when they continue their Premier League campaign at home to Everton on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites found it difficult against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in their season opener, but Everton started life under Rafael Benitez with an impressive 3-1 victory over Southampton at Goodison Park.

We say: Leeds United 1-1 Everton

Leeds will be desperate to bounce back from their opening-weekend loss, but Benitez will believe that he can exploit the home side's weaknesses on Saturday afternoon. We are actually predicting a tight affair in terms of the scoreline, with the two teams being made to settle for a share of the spoils at Elland Road.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Man City vs. Norwich (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Manchester City will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at Tottenham Hotspur when they welcome Norwich City to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Citizens suffered a 1-0 loss at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the opening weekend of the 2021-22 campaign, while Norwich were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool at Carrow Road on their return to this level.

We say: Manchester City 2-0 Norwich City

In truth, this is a nice match for Man City after two difficult results. Norwich deserve respect and are certainly capable of making it an uncomfortable assignment for the English champions, but we are finding it tough to predict anything other than a routine two-goal success for the Citizens.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Brighton vs. Watford (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Two sides who were victorious on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season will look horns on Saturday evening, when Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Watford to the Amex Stadium.

The Hornets began life back in the big time with an impressive home win against Aston Villa, while the Seagulls secured all three points away at Burnley.

We say: Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Watford

Five of the last six meetings between Brighton and Watford have seen less than three goals scored, and another closely-fought contest could be on the cards this weekend.

Both sides will view this fixture as a winnable game but with little to separate them, a score draw could be played out at the Amex Stadium.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.
