Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has said that he is "not surprised" by the Reds' perfect start to the Premier League season following tough preparations ahead of the new campaign.
Three wins out of three - including a 1-0 victory over rivals Manchester United in their last match - has the Merseyside outfit sitting top of the pile, two points ahead of Chelsea.
Toure, who joined the club on a free transfer from Manchester City this summer, believes that the hard work and commitment of the players and coaching staff are being rewarded on the pitch.
"[Looking at the table] motivates us to do more," PA quotes the Ivorian as saying. "I'm not surprised because of the effort we put in during pre-season and the commitment of the players every day in training.
"We've been working so hard and everybody is really focused - the young players and the experienced players.
"The manager (Brendan Rodgers) is doing a great job, all the staff are working really hard. We need to carry on doing that and the results will come."
Liverpool take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Monday.
