Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has branded those who have criticised his recent performances on Twitter as "keyboard warriors".
The England international is believed to have received a large amount of negative messages on the social networking site following his display on Monday against West Bromwich Albion.
Using the same site, the 20-year-old responded by saying: "Love people giving me stick .. When half of people on here haven't got a clue what they're on about. #welldone #keyboardwarriors."
Shelvey has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring five goals in the process.
