Brendan Rodgers says that he is not worried about losing his job at Liverpool despite recent comparisons with Roy Hodgson's record at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he is not concerned about losing his job.

The 39-year-old's record at Anfield so far this season has been compared to that of Roy Hodgson, who led the Reds to 25 points by Boxing Day before being sacked in 2011.

Liverpool have also collected 25 points from 19 matches so far this season, but Rodgers claims that he is not bothered about the similarities.

"I have been brought in here to do a job and the owners have been brilliant with me," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "I don't think about [the comparisons] to be honest, it is not something I am overly worried about.

"The backing I've had from supporters has been incredible considering and that is the most important group really. They recognise what is going on, they understand like I would understand the frustration.

"Any comparisons I don't really focus on and it is difficult to compare the two groups because there is a lot of youthfulness in this group but yet still a lot of growth left in the team."

Liverpool are at Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
