Liverpool are reportedly poised to appoint Andreas Kornmayer as their new fitness coach this summer.
The news comes after the sudden departure of Ryland Morgans from the role last month after three-and-a-half years at the side.
Kornmayer has worked with Bayern Munich's first-team setup since 2010, helping Pep Guardiola and Jupp Heynkes to successive Bundesliga titles.
According to The Guardian, Reds manager and former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has been an admirer of Kornmayer's work for some time, citing Bayern's superior fitness levels as the reason that they beat his Dortmund side to the title in 2013.
Kornmayer is expected to take over from interim fitness coach Andy O'Boyle in time for pre-season.
