Liverpool will reportedly discover the full extent of Daniel Sturridge's thigh injury on Tuesday.
The England international was forced to withdraw from the Three Lions squad that beat Switzerland 2-0 on Monday evening, with initial reports claiming that the Reds star would be out for around four months.
However, a more informed diagnosis will be available when he is definitively assessed by Liverpool's medical team, and the club are hopeful that his problem is not too serious, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Sturridge scored 21 Premier League goals for Brendan Rodgers's side last season.
