Norwich boss Paul Lambert hails his side's 1-1 draw at Anfield as a "massive" result.

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has hailed his side's 1-1 draw at Liverpool as a "massive" result for the club.

Grant Holt's header earned the Canaries a point at Anfield after Craig Bellamy had given the hosts the lead, and Lambert was full of praise for his players.

"It's massive, it's a huge, huge point," said the Scot. "The way we're playing and what we've created at Norwich has been excellent.

"In a funny way, going to Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford, even though we lost the games, we played very well and I think that's given them the belief that we can go and compete with teams.

There have been fantastic teams coming [to Anfield] and getting turned over so I'm delighted with how we've played and how we're playing."

Lambert also heaped praise on goalkeeper John Ruddy, whose injury-time save from Luis Suarez kept the scores level.

"That save was world class and I hear all the rumours that England might be looking at him," he added. "They could do a lot worse, that's for sure with the way he's playing."

The draw has taken Norwich up to seventh place in the Premier League table, while Liverpool remain in fifth.
