Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has said that Jurgen Klopp's tactics see every member of the team contribute to their defensive performance.
The Merseyside giants have received criticism for errors made in their own final third this season, but Karius has praised the effort of his teammates with the club sitting in second place in the Premier League table.
The 23-year-old told the Liverpool Echo: "It's not just the back four - it starts from the striker, who has to work hard to win the ball back.
"If the midfield didn't work hard to counter-press when we lose the ball then it would be hard for just the back four and me to sort it out. That's the whole team effort that everybody puts in, working hard, and that makes the difference."
Karius has made eight appearances in all competitions for Liverpool since moving to Anfield in the summer.
