Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta claims that the Serie A champions are hoping to announce the signing of Liverpool's Emre Can after the Champions League final.

Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has claimed that the club are confident of announcing the signing of Emre Can after Liverpool's Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old, who has not played for the Reds since March because of a back injury, is believed to have formed a pre-contract agreement with Juve during the January transfer window.

Liverpool remained hopeful that Can would extend his stay on Merseyside, but Marotta has now suggested that the Germany international is all but set for a move to Turin.

"I'm confident we will be able to announce Emre Can after the Champions League final," Marotta is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying.

Can has made 166 appearances for Liverpool since his 2014 move from Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 14 goals and registering 12 assists.
