Jurgen Klopp "happy" with early form

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that he is "happy" with his side's early-season form.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is happy with the club's fine early-season form but is wary about getting too carried away.

The Reds are currently fourth in the Premier League table after claiming 13 points from the first six games in a run that has seen Klopp mastermind victory over title rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City.

That has led bookmakers to install Liverpool as second favourites for the title behind leaders Manchester City, but Klopp admits to being cautious with 32 games of the season still to play.

Asked about the table while appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Klopp said: "It's not the worst table we've had, maybe it's the best since I've been here? So it's nice to see but the one problem is the number, it is six games now so it's at an early stage which is the only problem. I'm happy about this but I know there is a long way to go.

"It is very competitive, as always, but this year the biggest difference is maybe nobody was really happy last year apart from Leicester and with the positions, they all struck back and there was a big change in a lot of clubs in the summer with players, managers, all that stuff so there is a lot of quality in the Premier League. For sure, it is the most competitive league in world football.

"Everybody asks which is the best league and I have no idea, but that seven or eight teams think they should be top of the table or top of the league, that's quite interesting and we all have to cope with it. It's good for everybody that watches it and we have to deal with the pressure."

Liverpool next travel to struggling Swansea City for Saturday's early Premier League kickoff.
