Jordan Henderson: 'James Milner is a massive signing'

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson describes the signing of James Milner as "massive" after the England international opted to leave Manchester City.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson believes that the signing of James Milner will provide a huge boost to the Anfield dressing room.

The Merseyside giants concluded a disappointing campaign with a 6-1 defeat at Stoke City, but Henderson has admitted that prizing Milner away from Manchester City is a huge coup for the club.

The 24-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "Milner is a fantastic signing, not only as a player for his quality but as a person in the dressing room, on the training field and the experience he has got - it is a massive signing."

Milner departs the Etihad Stadium having scored 18 goals in 201 appearances in all competitions.
