Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was delighted with his players after they moved to the top of the Premier League with a 3-1 win against Bolton Wanderers at Anfield.
Goals from new boys Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam, as well as a header from Martin Skrtel, secured all three points for the Reds.
"It was a pleasure to watch," Dalglish told Sky Sports News.
"We got the result because we worked hard, played together and played for each other.
"To lose a goal at the end maybe puts a dampener on it for 40 seconds or so but that also says a lot," he added.
The Merseysiders next take a trip to Stoke City on Saturday, September 10 after the international break.
