Kenny Dalglish says that his team will put this weekend's FA Cup semi-final to the back of their minds when playing Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has said that his team will not be thinking about their FA Cup semi-final when they take on Blackburn Rovers.

The Reds face local rivals Everton at Wembley on Saturday but first face Steve Kean's men in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Dalglish said that winning at Ewood Park would be the perfect preparation for their semi-final showdown.

"We need to get Tuesday done and dusted before we get ourselves and our minds focused on Saturday," said the Scot. "The players are used to it. If you play for Liverpool Football Club, every game is a big game.

"I'm sure the boys who've come in who haven't grown up with it will probably realise that as well. This is a game we want to go and compete in and we want to go and win, and then Saturday will take care of itself."

A poor run of form in 2012 has seen Liverpool win only two of their last eight games.
