Goalkeeper Alisson Becker has admitted that he wants to justify the fee which Liverpool paid for his signature earlier this summer.
Alisson became the most expensive goalkeeper in history when Liverpool splashed out £67m to sign him from Roma, although that figure has since been eclipsed by Chelsea paying over £71m for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
However, that has not stopped Alisson wanting to prove his worth at Anfield, just like Mohamed Salah has done since making the same move before the start of last season.
The 25-year-old told The Mirror: "Yes, it was a big deal for Roma, they had a record fee and they were happy, and I'll work very hard to make sure it's a good deal for Liverpool too, which is more important.
"I know that Salah was [thought] a good deal for Roma, but now people say it is a good deal for Liverpool. I want to work hard to ensure that yes, people say they paid a [bargain] price for me too, eventually."
The Brazil international is expected to start when Liverpool host West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
