Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was delighted with his side's 1-0 win at Hearts in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier on Thursday night.
A late own goal was enough to give the Reds the victory at Tynecastle ahead of next week's return leg at Anfield.
"First and foremost it was a win which is important in a Euro game," Rodgers told ITV Sport. "Certainly coming here, where the crowd were excellent, the players were excellent.
"It was good win and a difficult match for us. It was a really good game."
Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign at home to champions Manchester City on Sunday.
