Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Two five-time European champions go head to head in the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday night when Barcelona welcome Liverpool to Camp Nou for the first leg of their mouth-watering tie.

Liverpool made it all the way to the final of the competition last season and are still fighting on two fronts as they continue to duke it out in an incredible Premier League title race.

Jurgen Klopp's side know that if they can make it past Barcelona then they will also be favourites to lift Europe's most prestigious trophy for a sixth time, and they go into Wednesday's match in fine form having won their last 10 games across all competitions.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up for the contest.

LIVERPOOL'S INJURY LIST

Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: May 1 (vs. Barcelona)

Liverpool fans were understandably concerned by the absence of Roberto Firmino from the squad to face Huddersfield Town on Friday night, but Klopp eased concerns after the match and the Brazilian has now returned to training and was included in the travelling party.

Fabinho

Possible return date: May 1 (vs. Barcelona)

Fabinho missed the Huddersfield game as expected after suffering a head injury moments after coming on against Cardiff City, but his absence was only a precaution and he has also been included in the squad.

Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana has not featured in the squad since the end of March due to a muscular problem, and he was once again absent from the travelling party for Barcelona.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match, while all previous yellow cards have been wiped out ahead of the semi-finals.
