Russell Slade has resigned from his post as manager of Leyton Orient, according to reports.
There have been suggestions in recent days that the 53-year-old is being lined up to take over at Cardiff City in the wake of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking, and Slade admitted on Saturday that he was left 'frustrated' by Leyton Orient's negative response to Cardiff's request to speak to him.
Sky Sports News reports that Slade has now handed his resignation in at the club where he has spent the last four years.
The club are yet to respond to say whether they have accepted Slade's resignation.
